Good news travels fast

After giving the best of my 20′s to the company I work for, I’ve decided to throw in the towel and seek my fortune elsewhere.
We’ve had a rough year or so which has had a major impact on my personal life (on everyone’s lives, really) so I definitely need the change, but I still can’t shake the feeling that I’m letting the rest of my team down by jumping ship. I also have an overwhelming sense of loyalty to this company for hiring me as a clueless grad and nurturing my professional growth over the past 5 years. Is that normal?
I definitely would not have made it much longer, and find myself wishing that today was 30 November and next week meant a new job. I’m not sure if I’ve lost the ability to handle stress or if it’s because my priorities are changing, but my motivation disappeared a long time ago and I haven’t been able to get it back.
The challenge now lies in powering through the next month, wrapping up, handing over, and making sure my corner is squeaky clean. I must stay positive and make sure I end with a bang.
Cheers to closing a chapter, a new opportunity, and hopefully more free time to spend with family and friends.
